10 Days in Peru… Something Heavenly

Working throughout the day in the hot sun, Charity and I regularly encourage the students to take water breaks. During one such water break, I caught a glimpse of heaven.

I watched as many of our students played a game of football (soccer to you Americans!) with Peruvian children. Despite being flithy, despite being exhausted, despite the language barrier, there was fun, laughter and joy that can only be described as something heavenly.

We serve Jesus as we work together with our brothers and sisters in Peru but there was also a powerful moment of service, dare I say, even worship in that short time of play. It was a slice, a snapshot, of the life that is to come.

It was a beautiful moment I will not forget anytime soon.
